Problems named on stage

Build robots for aging in place and long-term care

Named on stage by Dr. Brandon DeHart (RoboHub) at a Startup Grind Kitchener-Waterloo fireside, 16 July 2026.

What the people stuck here are trying to get done

When long-term care is short-staffed and carrying the load, I want systems that help both carers and carees, so I can support aging in place using manipulation and mobility tech that already works.

Who needs it solved

Eldercare and assistive-healthcare founders serving understaffed long-term-care facilities and people aging at home.

What makes it hard

Working around vulnerable people raises the bar. A robot in a long-term-care home, or in the home of someone aging in place, has to navigate safely among carers and the people they care for.
